This instrument was pioneered by world renowned reconstructive surgeon Dr Des Fernandes, the founder and Scientific Director of Environ. It has a smooth action roller head embedded with durable 0.1mm stainless steel micro-needles for use on the face and neck.
Micro-Needling Cosmetic Roller
As we age, the production of elastin and collagen supporting cells naturally diminish, leading to open pores, sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles. This ageing process slowly starts to appear after the age of 35. Skin Needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, Micro-needling or DermaPen™️ (to name a few), is a powerful cosmetic treatment designed to stimulate collagen production and accelerate cell renewal.
Skin Needling is a non-invasive home-care treatment made up of multiple fine needles on a roller device that penetrate the skin creating tiny micro-channels. This revolutionary method of creating microscopic breaks in the epidermis activates your skin’s natural healing process, stimulating new collagen and elastin production.
Together with topical Environ products, this instrument helps to:
- Enhance the effectiveness of the ingredients in topical Environ
- products.
- Restore skin tightness in the early stages of ageing
- Speed up the reduction of uneven skin tone and texture.
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines and scars
Skin needs to be well prepared with mild levels of vitamin A before you can start needling. Needle once your skin is comfortable with at least the second level of the Environ Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™ of moisturisers.
- Start by using it twice a week and slowly increase to daily use.
- Pre-cleanse, cleanse and tone your skin with your preferred Environ products
- Divide your target areas into sections and roll each section vertically, obliquely and horizontally with the roller for 3-5 minutes, using mild but firm pressure.
- Follow with your recommended Environ products.
- Rinse the roller with warm water before and after use, and cleanse once a week with the Environ Instrument Cleansing Solution.
- Please note: This instrument is designed to be used by one person only. Handle with care and do not drop as needles can be damaged. Keep away from children.

Home-care skin needling is different to in-clinic skin needling in that the size and width of the needles are much finer and thus don't penetrate the skin as deeply. There is virtually no pain associated with home-care skin needling; however, slight tingling or a prickling feeling can be experienced once you apply your skincare. This is normal, and is no concern for alarm. As your skin gets used to the treatment and sensation, you won't feel it any longer.
Remember to be gentle with the roller, don't pull, tug or scrape across the skin. Only lightly roll across the face in a cross-hatch pattern, as shown in the instructional video.
